Van du Vin began showcasing the Cool Climate Canberra Wine
District in late 2019, and what started as a small, heartfelt venture soon
became a flourishing enterprise. In just a few years, the business expanded,
and Laura—originally a guide—became the proud owner in 2023.
For Laura, wine is more than enjoying a glass—it’s a story,
a culture, and often the best excuse for a long lunch. An Australian/French
entrepreneur and global adventurer, she’s spent years swirling, sniffing, and
sipping her way through the world’s vineyards—from the prestigious estates of
France, Spain and Italy, to the cool-climate treasures of the Canberra Wine
District.
Before Van du Vin, Laura led gourmet food and wine tours in
Bordeaux, sharing her deep knowledge of French wines, regional flavours,
history, and culture. Having lived in seven countries across three continents,
she firmly believes every bottle, every vineyard and every wine maker tells a
story.
Laura is now on a mission to turn every Canberra District
wine tasting into an experience worth toasting. She introduces guests to
passionate local winemakers, uncovers hidden gems, and of course, encourages
the savouring of exceptional local wines!
Laura holds a Level 3 Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET)
certification, having started her studies in Bordeaux and completed them in
Canberra. (Because let’s be honest—wine school is the best kind of school.)
